Miss M rocked it out at Abraxas on the Paseo Maritimo in Palma. A very appreciative audience helped American born R&B and soul singer, Michele, to celebrate her birthday. The diminutive woman cut a very powerful presence in the room; with total command of the stage, and a talented backing band behind her, she celebrated her birthday in style delivering such classics as, Blues is Alright, Bring It On Home, Unchain My Heart, Purple Rain, Georgia, Let the Good Times Roll.
Keep an eye out for her as rumour has it she’s got a big gig coming up in June...

If you were lucky enough to catch a young singing talent, Julia Sykes, live on the Breakfast Show at Luna Radio 100.3FM (or listen online at www.lunamallorca.com) then you might have been as impressed as we were with her great ability.
Currently a student at Loughborough University, she comes and goes from the island as her family have a place here. Now she is being cajoled into returning to the island for Europe Day in Palma Nova on May 11th so pop down to the SW for the day and check out this great singer and her friends. |

De Walzangers are from Rotterdam. They describe themselves as a ‘Seaman’s Choir’ and sing an international repertoire of songs about the sea, rivers and their home town of Rotterdam. They will be performing around the island, and will almost certainly feature on both Luna 100.3FM and Radio One Marratxi 92.9FM so one way or the other you will hear more about this charmingly eccentric group.
