ARABELLA SHERATON GOLF HOTEL SON VIDA
LAUNCHES NEW MENU

The famous French Chef, Paul Bocuse, once said ‘there is no good food if it’s not cooked with love for the one you are cooking it for’. This might be the reason why the Head Chef for the Plat d’Or restaurant at the Arabella Golf Hotel Son Vida, Rafael Sanchez, cooks such delicious food. He started cooking and helping out in the house at a very young age, as his mum was blind and she needed him to help to prepare dinner for his brothers and sisters. Soon enough he started to enjoy melding flavours together and coming up with new creative ideas. He hasn’t stopped since then, and is now the proud Head Chef at one of the top Michelin-starred restaurants in Mallorca.

CHEF OF THE YEAR 2007 @ READS

Tim Raue, Chef of the Year 2007 (one-star Michelin,18 points GaultMillau), will be presenting a 6 course menu showcasing his amazing skills for one night only in the Bacchus Restaurant in Read’s Hotel and Spa in Santa Maria.

German born Raue is a chef based in Berlin, a city that is constantly evolving, and the culinary scene is a direct reflection of that change. Chef Raue is the epitome of that evolution, whose culinary style is cutting-edge contemporary. GaultMillau awarded him the highly prestigious title of Chef of the Year 2007, making him at age 32, the youngest chef to ever receive this award. Reserve now for this very special event.

El Jardin restaurant in Calvia held a very successful evening in their beautiful outside bar in their relaxing garden setting. The restaurant is now also open from early in the day for snacks and sandwiches.
Blau Porto Petro held a fascinating 'Japanese Event' over the weekend of April 12 & 13th. A delicious and enlightening event, look forward to a report on how on earth to make sushi in our next edition!
